NETWORK OPERATIONS / NOC & SUPPORT

NOC & Support
Network operations.

The NBS Network Operations Centre supervises the network in real conditions: links, equipment, traffic and alerts — before coordinating incident response and local technical support.

01 / NETWORK MONITORING

Visibility across the network.

The NOC is the monitoring and operations centre of the NBS network. It centralises link and equipment monitoring to identify disruptions, assess their impact and guide technical operations. Monitoring points, thresholds and notifications are defined for each service.

01

Availability

Service accessibility over the agreed monitoring period.

02

Latency

Response time between the monitored network points.

03

Packet loss

Packets not delivered between measurement points.

04

Bandwidth

Traffic utilisation and capacity available on the link.

05

Link status

Primary and backup link status, where backup is part of the client architecture.

06

Equipment status

Reachability and operating status of equipment within the monitoring scope.

02 / INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

From detection to follow-up.

  1. 01

    Detection

An alert or incident report identifies a network event.

  2. 02

    Diagnosis

Analyse measurements, affected links and service impact.

  3. 03

    Escalation

Involve the appropriate technical contacts according to service priority.

  4. 04

    Intervention

Perform remote actions or arrange an NBS field intervention as needed.

  5. 05

    Restoration

Check link recovery and the operation of the affected service.

  6. 06

    Follow-up

Document the incident and identify actions to reduce recurrence.

03 / SERVICE CONTINUITY

Monitor both paths.

When the client architecture includes a backup link, the primary and backup paths are monitored separately: status, traffic and quality of each link within the agreed scope. The continuity approach combines link status checks, analysis of failover conditions and verification of service recovery.

Backup architecture, failover arrangements and any tests are defined according to the site and subscribed service.

04 / LOCAL TECHNICAL TEAM

From the NOC to the field.

NBS technical teams are local: the same teams analyse the network from the NOC and intervene on sites. Depending on the diagnosis, an incident can be resolved remotely or require an NBS field intervention — the NOC coordinates both and follows up.

Remote analysis

The NOC analyses alerts and measurements, qualifies the impact and decides the next action.

Field intervention

NBS technicians travel to sites to check equipment, access links and installation conditions.

Post-intervention checks

Service operation is verified after each intervention and follow-up is documented.

05 / TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Report an incident.

Include the affected site, service reference, start time and affected applications. Indicate whether the outage is total or intermittent and whether equipment has power. Provide a contact for follow-up. Never share passwords.

Use the dedicated incident channel specified in your contract first, where provided.

Service commitments

NBS phone support is available 24/7. Priority levels and service commitments are defined according to the subscribed service and the applicable contractual terms.
